Geoff Kubank's talk at IPMS (NSW) in 2012

Long term members will remember that back in 2012 former RAAF pilot Geoff Kubank gave a talk about his experiences. He flew Winjeel and Vampire training aircraft (see https://www.radschool.org.au/magazines/Vol59/Page13.htm for some info, BTW those Radschool magazines are highly recommended as they have some useful articles in them). Later he flew Sabres, Mirages, Hercules and FAC Winjeels during his RAAF days. He survived an ejection from a 77 Sqn Mirage A77 -14 on 16/03/76 at RAAF Williamtown (basic details can be found at 'https://asn.flightsafety.org/wikibase/56851').

Later he was involved with the warbird movement and is also involved with the airfield, museum and collection of Tiger Moths at Luskintyre in the Hunter Valley.

At the time Geoff's talk was videoed and copies of the video distributed to members on DVD. Due to the size of the files they have never appeared on the 'in Miniature' issues, but as there would be many new members who may be interested I have put the files on Mega (NZ) webspace that I have for download. The files are in DVD format (VOB files etc). It may be possible to write them to a blank DVD and run it in a normal DVD player but I have not tried that (and don't ask me how it is done). The files work in many media player software programmes (worked for me in VLC Media Player and Media Player Classic, but not Windows Media Player) by right clicking on the VOB file and selecting the software player to be used.

The files are a LARGE download (about 4 Gb between the two parts) so I suggest you download the folders to your HD and run it from there if interested. Downloads from Mega (NZ) are fairly quick (a lot quicker than the upload...). The links to the download for the two parts are:
